Das Schlagzeug-Magazin Drum! hat wieder seine Schlagzeuger-Ehrungen wählen lassen. Dabei wurde Neil Peart (Rush) zum "Drummer Of The Year" und Lars Ulrich (Metallica) zum "Metal Drummer".

Dass David Ellefson als begnadeter Bassist riesiger Rush-Fan ist, liegt auf der Hand. Nun erklärte er, wie es dazu kam.
In einem Interview mit Mike Gaube's Headbangers sprach der ehemalige Megadeth-Bassist David Ellefson über seine ersten Begegnungen mit der Musik von Rush und deren Einfluss auf seine musikalische Entwicklung. Metal-Magie im Drogeriemarkt „Ich bin im Mittleren Westen aufgewachsen, wo viele meiner Lieblings-Bands in den Siebzigern ebenfalls ihre Anfänge hatten“, erzählt Ellefson. „Kiss, Ted Nugent, Rush, Styx, REO Speedwagon bis Cheap Trick – sie alle tourten durch diese Region.
