Guck mal, wer da schreibt: Randy Blythe, Sänger der Ami-Metaller Lamb Of God, hat einen Vertrag bei Da Capo Press unterschrieben, der dem Verlag die Rechte an dessen Memoiren über seine Zeit im Gefängnis einräumt. Das Buch soll im Laufe des nächsten Jahres erscheinen.
Der LAMB OF GOD-Sänger saß in Untersuchungshaft, da man ihm vorwarf, für den Tod eines Konzertbesuchers während einer Show in Prag verantwortlich zu sein. “Ich habe davon geträumt, ein Buch zu veröffentlichen, seitdem ich lesen kann. Aber ich hätte nie gedacht, dass es sich um so ein trauriges Thema drehen wird”, ließ Blythe in der offiziellen Mitteilung verlauten. “Manchmal schreibt das Leben jedoch unerwartete Geschichten, die erzählt werden müssen. Ich glaube, diese gehört dazu und ich werde sie mit Würde und Respekt gegenüber allen Involvierten erzählen.”
Da Capo Press ist übrigens bekannt dafür, Metal-Biographien zu veröffentlichen. Unter anderem hat der Verlag bereits die Bücher von Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Corey Taylor (Slipknot) und Al Jourgensen (Ministry) herausgebracht.
