„This is a real beauty – and has a fantastic history. It’s a 1971 Gretsch Roc-Jet complete with original case – the only unoriginal parts are the pick up surrounds which were replaced with exact parts about 10 years ago. What makes this guitar so special is it was previously owned by MALCOLM YOUNG OF AC/DC! It was bought by his guitar tech Keith Evans for a US tour and originally destined for parts but Malcolm enjoyed playing it and used it mainly in sound checks. The guitar was subsequently given to Keith and purchased by current owner in the late 1990’s, together with a letter of provenance – see picture. A classic guitar with a pedigree history. The guitar is in original case and has all original parts apart from the pick-up surrounds which were cracked, so I replaced them with genuine Gretsch spares. As a vintage guitar, it’s a superb instrument but as a piece of rock and roll history, this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity.“
